I have set up a new classroom blog for my students to start using next week. This was relatively easy, similar to the wordpress blogs we have. The wiki is a little tougher to figure out, but I will keep practicing. It all takes time……..

Your Grade 7 blog looks amazing, nice layout and colour scheme. You will have to let us all know how the kids react to it. I love when technology can be applied to the classroom.

Have you set up your students with wordpress accounts? It is great that you are applying these tools to your classroom. I guess, in a way, we are the guinea pigs. We will find out the hard way what works and some of the pitfalls. Great work!

I like the classroom blog and wiki. Now to add content. It is a bit of a challenge to decide how to organize your information and what you want to include. The nice thing is that you can go back and edit it anytime unlike printed resources.

Great job Jodie. Do all of your students have email accounts? Are they accounts you gave to them, like Gaggle, that you can control. Have you talked about emailing with them? Just curious. I almost have the Grade 4’s set up I just haven’t started yet. I’ll open that can of worms soon!

Have you thought about getting the parents email addresses and then getting the parents to check out the blog. Good luck in your adventure.
